A: In the "Edit" menu, there is an item called "Show Chapters". All the chapters on your DVD, under each title, will be displayed in the program list after you click it.
Q3: What are other settings? In your former versions, there are lots of setting items on the right. But I can only get a few of them on the right now. Where are the settings like Frame Rate and Sample Rate?

Should I just use the values which the program has offered or should I enter a number which I want directly? But after I click "Start Ripping", all the options I modified will return to the default ones. Why?
A: Before you modify anything, you must highlight the item of your DVD, chapter or title which you want to convert in the program. Besides the values we have offered, you can simply enter a number you want for the conversion for most output formats, such as audio bit rate, sample rate. But sometimes, it would be limited by the output format as well as some other conditions.

A: If you do not like it, please open "Settings-Preference". In the "General" card, please cancel the options for "Create chapter folder in the output folder" and "Create album folder in the output folder". After that, you will be able to find the output files directly in the output folder.

Q13: After I get the output files I want, I found they are all named in "Title 01", "Title 02" or "Chapter 01", "Chapter 02", etc. Is it possible to use the title I want for them directly?
A: On the right, there is a box called "Name". What you entered in that box before the conversion will be the title for the output files.
Q14: What does "Add Profiles" do?
A: It is a new function added in the Version 5. If you want to get the same source, title or chapter, converted into different target things, with different formats or different configurations, this function will help you. It will be active after you highlight the loading title or chapter, which you want to convert. After clicking it, the title or chapter that you chose will be duplicated so that you can set different settings for each of them.
Q15: I know if I want to get better output quality, I need set higher values for video and audio bit rate respective. And the output size will be larger at the end of the conversion, too. So how can I know the most proper values for video and audio within the output size I expected?
A: We have a small tool in the "Tools" menu, Bit Rate Calculator. By this tool, you will get the proper settings for video and audio Bit Rate respective abiding by the output size you entered there. Once again, you must highlight the title or chapter that you want to convert first. What you decide there will be the settings for the items on the right automatically after you confirm them.
Q16: I have finished the conversion to the iPod/iPhone/Apple TV; what do I need to do so that I can transfer the output files into my iPod?
A: Do you have iTunes installed? It is a must. Please download it from www.apple.com. The transferring job must be done by this tool. If you are using iPod or iPhone, we have a specific program, too. It is called Xilisoft iPod Rip and you can get to know it from http://www.imtoo.com/ipod-computer-transfer.html.
Q17: My iPod is a 5.5G one. So I wonder which profile is the best one for me.
A: The most important feature for 5.5G iPod is that it can support 640x480 resolutions. So you'd better select the profiles, named with "iPod Video2", whole default settings are in 640x480 and which will provide better output quality than other profiles.
Q18: I noticed that you offer two kinds of video output forms in the Profile list. Which one is the best if I want to get better quality?
A: As far as the output quality is concerned, H.264/AVC would provide the best. But it is larger in output size and slower in the conversion speed. But if you only want to get the better quality, you need choose H.264/AVC profile.
Q19: Which profiles should I choose for my PSP?
A: It depends on the models and the versions of its firmware. Only higher versions can support AVC output and 480x272 output files. If you are using the early versions and models, you'd better only use "PSP MPEG4 Video" profile.
Q20: I have finished the conversion to Zune; what do I need to do so that I can transfer the output files into my Zune?
A: You need download Zune Software from www.zune.net to finish the transferring job. Or you can get it done via the SYNC function of Windows Media Player if you select WMV as output format.
Q21: I noticed that your program offers 3 kinds of output video formats. As far as the quality is concerned, which one is the best, MP4, MP4 AVC and WMV?
A: If you only want to get the best quality, I recommend MP4 AVC output for you, which is in H.264/AVC video codec. But the output size would be larger than others. Actually, MP4 format will be more proper between the file size and quality.
