How to download and transfer movies to iPad?

I have many movies saved on my computer hard drive. They are in various file formats such as FLV, MKV, AVI, etc. Some of them are downloaded from online video sites such as YouTube, Metacafe, Break, etc. and some of them are transferred from my friends.

My question is that can I download movies to iPad directly? I tried iTunes, it didn’t work. I searched on the web, and the answer is probably because that the file format is inacceptable by iTunes. Is there any way I can use to transfer those movies to my iPad?

Step 1: Download video clips.

Step 2: Transfer downloaded files to iPad.
